Are you looking for a strategically important role with a market-leading player in the energy industry? In the role of Bid Manager, you drive and shape the bidding process from early project phases, focusing on business value, quality, and competitiveness.
In this role, you will work in an exciting industry where technology and business meet. You will become an important part of our change journey, where we together develop our working methods and create future solutions. You lead and develop a dedicated bid team and ensure that Vattenfall Services' offers maintain the highest quality with a clear commercial focus.
The role involves leading and developing an experienced team of 18 employees from Jokkmokk to Malmö – all with the goal of presenting attractive, credible, and commercially strong offers to our customers. The team is responsible for the company's total bidding activity, amounting to 2–3 MSEK annually, sometimes even higher.
This is a role for you who like a combination of structure, business, and technology. You will have the opportunity to influence, analyze, and shape the business – in an environment where no day is like another.
Your responsibilities
As Bid Manager, you work closely with several functions within the organization and are responsible for the entire bidding process from early analysis to handover by:
- Leading and developing experienced employees.
- Developing methods and working practices so that Vattenfall Services' bidding work is at the absolute forefront.
- Being responsible for and acting as support regarding the coordination and evaluation of tender requests, contributing to route selection and risk identification together with the team.
- Acting as commercial support regarding cost calculations in construction, operation, and maintenance projects for stations and lines.
All with the goal of presenting an attractive, credible, and commercially strong offer to our customers.
Requirements
Who are you?

You are solution-oriented and self-motivated with a desire to contribute to improvement and development. Your communication skills mean you thrive in collaboration with both colleagues and customers, and you easily build trust and relationships.
We are looking for you who have:
- Experience from successful bidding activities within construction or operation and maintenance of infrastructure, preferably with experience from roles such as contracting engineer, estimator, account manager, or similar with a business focus.
- A desire to develop people in both methods and working practices to always stay at the forefront of development.
- Ability to handle and analyze data and work structured towards clear deadlines.
- Knowledge of contracting law.
- Relevant education in engineering, economics, or equivalent work experience.
Meritorious:
- Knowledge of LOU (The Public Procurement Act).
- Experience with calculation programs and digital tools for cost calculation.
Personal qualities
- Business-driven and strategic, with the ability to see the big picture and create competitive offers.
- Structured and analytical, and thrives on driving several complex processes with high quality and clear deadlines.
- Confident in your leadership, with the ability to engage, develop, and coach experienced employees.
- Communicative and collaboration-oriented, and easily builds trust and good relationships both internally and externally.
